Study Hall

The Lycée International de Houston study hall is available to all students from grades 1 to 12 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. each regular school day. This program is provided at no extra cost to parents.

The structured Study Hall is designed to help students use their time at school completing homework and studying for tests. A French or English teacher will help tutor, organize assignments, and ensure students use this time productively. This greatly reduces the amount of work that needs to be completed at home and provides students with additional help when needed.

Language Enrichment

The Lycée International de Houston’s French and English Language enrichment programs are language classes offered for students from Pk-12th grade to accelerate students’ language and literacy development. These classes give students extra help in reading, speaking, listening, pronunciation, and more. FLE and EDL classes are scheduled one or more days a week as needed. Parents and/or teachers can request students to attend language enrichment. This program is provided at no extra cost to parents.

Arabic Class

Our teaching approach immerses students in the Arabic language through the script rather than English transliteration, highlighting its logical and systematic structure. Structured classes focus on everyday vocabulary and use an innovative method to teach word structure, conjugation, and phonetics, helping students form sentences and recognize the Arabic alphabet’s shapes and sounds—all at no extra cost to parents.

Financial Aid Requirements

Lycée International de Houston believes it is important to provide our innovative education to all children admitted to the school, regardless of their financial status.

Commitment to Accessibility

Lycée International de Houston welcomes all students, regardless of their financial background. We believe tuition should not be a barrier to education, so we offer financial aid to families in need, funded through our operating budget.

Need-Based Aid

Aid decisions are based on an assessment of each family’s financial situation, focusing solely on need. Please note that we do not provide scholarships for academics or extracurricular activities.

It should be noted that receiving financial aid in previous years does not guarantee continued support in subsequent years; families must re-apply annually and their applications will be reviewed based on their current financial status.

Application Process

To apply for financial aid, families must submit the following documents:

  • Most recent tax return, including all schedules
  • Last three pay stubs for both parents
  • Most recent federal tax return if self-employed
  • For families exempt from US taxes, a salary letter from the employer
  • Supporting documents for social security income, welfare, child support, food stamps, and other assistance

Applications without these documents will not be processed. All financial information is kept confidential, and re-application is required each year, as past aid does not guarantee future support.
