French Baccalauréte

The French Baccalaureate, is an esteemed academic credential sought after by students in France and French schools worldwide who aspire to continue their education at the university level. This internationally recognized diploma holds great prestige among prestigious colleges worldwide. At LIH, our students earn both a Texas High School Diploma accredited by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and a French Baccalaureate.

The French Ministry of National Education has created a prestigious qualification that attracts over 500,000 students each year and offers subjects taught at the college level. This makes it highly sought after by colleges and universities globally, including those in North America. High school graduates who perform well on the French Baccalaureate are often granted college credit by international institutions.

The high school program at the Lycée International de Houston provides a comprehensive two-year preparatory curriculum. Students are required to engage in six core subjects alongside three specialty subjects. Upon completion of the 11th grade, students must successfully pass an exam in one of their chosen specialty subjects, leaving them with two remaining subjects to complete during their final year in 12th grade. The curriculum at Lycée International de Houston is carefully designed to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge for higher education.
