We also offer an after-care service between 4:30 and 5:30. Overall, the goal is to have a day full of engaging and educational activities. We believe in keeping students as active as possible. This way they can remain attentive and engaged throughout the day.
When students attend Lycée International de Houston, they will become part of a diverse and open-minded community. A school day will be full of activities aimed to teach students about the importance of being open to innovative and diverse ideas.
Lycée International de Houston uses innovative classroom furniture. Each table and each chair has been chosen for the obvious comfort of our students but also for their versatility. Our teachers can adapt the classroom configuration to a variety of teaching methods and objectives for the benefit of our students. These are some of the benefits that our ergonomic desks offer. Additionally, our classes also come with interactive projectors that allow students to interact with the projections on the board. Above all, we strive to keep students engaged throughout the day to ensure they are getting the most out of their time at Lycée International de Houston.
LIH made a partnership with Chef Frederic Perrier to provide a hot, balanced and healthy lunch program to our students. In addition, the Restaurant is converted into a meeting place to host guest speakers, orientation, Back to School events, School Programs, and much more:

After School Extracurricular Activities
At LIH, your child can also benefit from many rewarding and diverse after school extracurricular activities available from 4:30-5:30. Keeping your students active throughout the day is a great way of keeping their minds working constantly. In turn, students will become accustomed to busy schedules, making their transition to universities or the workforce. Our activities are fun and great for students, they include:
Sports – martial arts, badminton, fencing, soccer…
Languages – French Reinforcement, Spanish, Chinese, Arabic.
Other activities – Theater, Arts & Crafts, etc.
During the school year, LIH offers a variety of camps during our school-wide breaks for a nominal fee. The school year is divided into three trimesters. During each trimester, students receive a one week of break. These camps are a great opportunity for your children to meet students in other grades and language programs, as well as enjoy a fun week on and off campus!
Our camps often have themes such as living on the farm, Jurassic week, American pride, around the world, la grand bleu, Greek Mythology as well as field trips off campus to places like the NASA, Houston Museum of Natural Science Sugarland, the Children’s Museum of Houston, the Health Museum downtown, and more. So, while classes may be out, a fun break from the classroom for your children is in!
To support the needs of working parents, we offer camps during every break week and a camp during the summer. Camp activities vary depending on the age of your child. Camp age groups include 3 and 4-year-olds, 5 and 6-year-olds, and 7 to 12-year-olds.
Contact schoolLife@lihouston.org for more about school camps.
