Our Advantages
A Thoughtful Education with Meaningful Advantages
Lycée International de Houston offers a carefully structured educational model designed to support academic rigor, multilingual proficiency, and individual student growth. Our advantages are not built on scale, but on depth, consistency, and purpose—ensuring students benefit from both global opportunity and personal attention.
Dual Diploma & International Academic Pathways
LIH offers students the opportunity to earn a dual diploma, providing access to both U.S. and international university pathways. Our academic framework integrates the French Ministry of Education standards, the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework, and the American curriculum, ensuring strong alignment with global and national expectations.
This approach allows students to pursue higher education in the United States and abroad with confidence and flexibility.

Multilingual Mastery
Multilingual education is central to the LIH experience. Instruction in English, French, and Spanish begins early and continues through Grade 12, allowing students to develop deep linguistic proficiency and cultural understanding.
Students typically graduate fluent in at least three languages, with opportunities in high school to study additional languages and achieve advanced proficiency.

Language Enrichment (At No Additional Cost)
LIH offers French (FLE) and English (ESL) language enrichment for students in grades PK–12. These programs strengthen reading, writing, speaking, listening, and pronunciation skills based on individual needs.
Placement may be recommended by teachers or requested by families, and all language enrichment services are provided at no additional cost.
Arabic Language
Program
Arabic instruction at LIH follows a communicative, task-based approach, emphasizing authentic language use and strong speaking skills. Students learn to read and write using the Arabic script rather than English transliteration, supporting long-term fluency and accurate language acquisition.
This program is also offered without additional fees.

Academic Support
& Study Hall
LIH supports students through tutoring, language assistance for non-native speakers, and a structured Study Hall program. Available to students in Grades 1–12 on regular school days from 3:30–4:30 p.m., Study Hall provides guided academic support from experienced teachers to reinforce learning and reduce homework demands—at no cost to families.
Cultural & Language Diversity
LIH’s diverse community reflects a wide range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Students often enter the school proficient in one or two languages and graduate fluent in multiple languages, supported by a curriculum that values global awareness, respect, and cross-cultural understanding.
Parent Partnership
& Engagement
LIH values open communication and collaboration with families. Regular parent-teacher conferences, community events, and an active Parent Organization foster strong partnerships between home and school, supporting students academically and socially.
