International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP)
Lycée International de Houston is authorized to offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme, an internationally recognized academic framework offered in schools around the world.
The IB Diploma Programme emphasizes critical thinking, research skills, interdisciplinary learning, and global perspective. Students complete coursework across six subject areas Language & Literature, World Languages, Humanities, Sciences, Mathematics, and the Arts supporting strong preparation for university-level study in the United States and internationally.
Texas Alliance of Accredited Private Schools (TAAPS)
LIH is accredited by the Texas Alliance of Accredited Private Schools (TAAPS), which upholds high academic and operational standards for private schools across Texas. TAAPS accreditation reflects institutional quality, academic rigor, and adherence to established best practices in independent education.
TAAPS is recognized by the Texas Private School Accreditation Commission (TEPSAC).
AEFE - Agency for French Education Abroad
LIH is accredited by the French Ministry of Education and is a member of the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE), a global network of French schools in more than 130 countries.
AEFE accreditation ensures continuity with French academic standards and supports seamless transitions to other French schools and universities worldwide. AEFE schools emphasize academic rigor, cultural understanding, and critical thinking within an internationally recognized framework.
Cognia – Global Education Accreditation
Lycée International de Houston is accredited by Cognia, a global nonprofit organization providing accreditation and continuous improvement services to schools in more than 100 countries.

Texas Private School Accreditation Commission (TEPSAC)
TAAPS accreditation is approved by the Texas Private School Accreditation Commission (TEPSAC), established by the Texas Education Agency. TEPSAC approval supports:
