A Heartwarming Day of Giving: LIH Community Joins Forces with Toys for Tots
Today, the LIH campus was buzzing with excitement and generosity as our school community came together for a truly heartwarming cause: donating toys to the Toys for Tots program. In the spirit of giving, students, parents, and staff contributed an incredible collection of toys to bring joy to children in need this holiday season.
The event reached its pinnacle when Marines in uniform arrived at LIH to pick up the donations. The sight of the Marines, proud and poised, brought a sense of honor and gratitude to the occasion. It was a moving moment that emphasized the importance of service and community.
But the real highlight of the day was the active involvement of our students. With enthusiasm and teamwork, they joined forces with the Marines to carefully load the toys into the van. Watching the collaboration between the students and the Marines was a powerful reminder of the impact we can make when we work together for a greater cause.
The van was soon filled to the brim with an array of toys—from stuffed animals and action figures to puzzles and books—all thanks to the generosity of the LIH family. These toys will soon bring smiles to children who might otherwise go without this holiday season.
