Steps Toward Admission
As admission is selective and cannot be guaranteed, the Lycée International de Houston is strongly guided by our mission and philosophy: to provide students with a world-class international education in a welcoming, caring, and non-discriminatory environment. Children of all races, religions, national and ethnic origins, and socioeconomic backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Below are the steps to take to ensure you will be prioritized for admissions consideration, while also receiving timely and thorough answers to the questions important to you.
1. Online Application Form
An application fee of $320 (non-refundable). Apply
Photo or passport for each student and parent statement must be submitted.
2. Mandatory Testing
Students coming from an AEFE member school or a French Ministry of National Education school are not required to test.
Applicants for 1st Grade must submit the results of the WPPSI.
Applicants for 2nd-4th Grades must submit the results of the WISC Assessment.
Applicants for 5th Grade must submit the results submit results of the ISEE (Overseas applicants may register with for a remote test center location).

Locally, we recommend Education Specialists LLC for testing. Please contact Tami Clark of (713-461-7996) to schedule the individual evaluation Student Info form.
For applicants outside of the Houston area, the WISC and WPPSI tests can be administered by any certified psychologist. Please have the results sent to the Lycée International de Houston. The test should be administered in the child’s first language.
3. Request a Teacher Recommendation
If your child currently attends school, please submit a teacher recommendation form via link to your child’s current school. The form should be electronically submitted to the Lycée International de Houston by your child’s current teacher.
4. Request a School Recommendation
If your child currently attends school, please submit a school recommendation form via link. The Admission committee works hard to put together a well balanced and diverse community of students who will thrive in our bilingual program. The form should be electronically submitted to the Lycée International de Houston by your child’s school director or principle.
5. Current Year and Previous Year Report Cards
Submit report cards for the previous two academic years along with the most recent report cards for the current academic year. The report cards can be uploaded electronically on the Lycée International de Houston application website under the checklist section.
6. Interview / Observation
If your child currently attends school, please submit a confidential parent form via link.The Admission committee works hard to put together a well balanced and diverse community of students who will thrive in our bilingual program. Admission coordinator will contact you to schedule your interview and student observation.
7. Mandatory Medical Information
Please submit student immunization records to Magnus
8. Release of Transcripts for grades K-12.
Evaluation of Applications
After those steps have been taken, our admissions committee will evaluate each candidate based on the application, the candidate’s school record, teacher recommendations, interviews, and academic testing.
An evaluation is not required for applicants transferring from an accredited French school; however, a Certificat de Scolarité and accompanying bulletins scolaires must be submitted.
