The Lycée International de Houston provides an extensive after-school program, along with various clubs and activities. This program, taught by Lycée teachers and a dedicated team of after-school instructors, is continuously evolving to cater to the diverse interests of our students.

Tennis is an excellent sport for promoting overall health and wellness, enhancing physical strength and agility. LIH tennis program the opportunity to work on technique, hand-eye coordination and game playing.

KARATE

YOGA

This club prioritizes the practice of Yoga and mindfulness, both of which have been proven to enhance the physical and mental well-being of children in school. In addition to improving balance, strength, endurance, and aerobic capacity, Yoga also offers psychological advantages. Extensive research has demonstrated that Yoga can enhance focus, memory, self-esteem, academic performance, and classroom behavior in children. Furthermore, it has been found to effectively alleviate anxiety and stress among young individuals.

This club takes a playful approach to introducing music through five focal points: embracing singing (songs and finger games), discovering various percussion instruments and the world of percussion orchestras, participating in rhythmic games and body percussion exercises, actively engaging in listening activities with movement to appreciate masterpieces from different musical eras, and gaining an introductory understanding of music theory including notes, rhythm, tempo, etc. The atmosphere is maintained with a professional tone.
